Neil Brant MSc CMILT
Neil is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transportation and is responsible for undertaking traffic, transport and highway projects as well as coordinating other professional services as part of wider project requirements.
He has 32 years’ experience working for consulting engineers in the UK and has focused his career on providing expertise in the traffic engineering and transport planning aspects of development related projects. He started his career as a trainee Engineering Technician working his way through a four year training programme on regular rotation through many different engineering and allied science disciplines. On completion he focused on Traffic and Highway Engineering design and which has given him solid background in the design infrastructure.
In 1998 he attained a Master of Science Degree in Transport Planning & Highway Engineering from the University of Southampton.
Neil has particular experience in advising clients of the transportation implications of development from the feasibility and master planning stage through to planning submission and input to legal agreements (s106, s278, traffic orders and stopping-up notices).
Having almost exclusively worked in the development sector, Neil is adept at negotiating with local highway authorities on impact and mitigation matters and regularly acts as an expert witness.
